Trans Day of Invisibility when?

Thursday is Trans Day of Visibility but it feels like we’ve been uncomfortably hyper visible for too long now

I’m extremely tired of being visible. I would appreciate not being perceived for awhile.

Trans people are seemingly the topic of the day nearly every day in modern day America. A Supreme Court nominee was grilled the other day over how she would define “woman.” Tucker Carlson hosts nearly nightly segments to two minutes of trans hate.

Hundreds of bills were filed in state legislatures this past year seeking to limit and roll back the rights of trans people. Conservatives the world over have exactly one joke, and of course it’s about trans people.

Our lives, our bodies, our rights, and our families are debated at a near constant rate in modern day society. Hundreds of social media accounts and dozens of organizations have popped up in recent years solely devoted to denigrating all things trans.

Celebrities have ruined their own lives by becoming obsessed with trans people to deranged levels (hi Graham). Trans people, and especially trans women have never been more visible.

And you know what? Life is pretty shit for us right now!
